When they say a tree anchor should be 6" in diameter, none of that should be air.

Yeah, those twigs don't add up to an anchor. Don't leave your stuff at the top of the crag, it isn't safe.

Buy more rope, it's cheap. Green bucket is about the shortest anchor at Carderock, so this guy has a future of coming up short.
