Three ropes tied together to reach a tiny tree. They completely missed a thread in the rocks that makes a much better anchor.

They said it was a "good" dead tree.
The tiny tree connects to the blue rope with a single carabiner, gate pointed down, so it could be forced open.

Not something you see every day.
Yes, that's the climbing rope. It is dragging over maybe 10 feet of cliff. That's a single webbing runner anchor.
This nightmare belongs to the people who own the dog from hell, I'll bet you know them. There was plenty of static rope to tie off the tree without adding the cordalette and carabiner. Slinging above the incredible hollow is a less than ideal choice.

How big is big enough: Part II.
You may have to crank in to see the details. The red webbing goes to a too small tree, the white static goes to another too small tree, the really big tree is actually closer (I know it doesn't look it.) and creates an anchor with a smaller angle

One anchor, very dead.
No leaves, lots of fungi on the bark.
The mysterious unnecessary clove hitch and carabiner, a good anchor goes bad.
