Thankful the anchor worked

He had lots of rope but used a runner and carabiners, added points of failure. Is that a bowline?

Marginal placements and mystery knots.

When they have it, they use it.

2 Ropes and webbing wrapped around every available object.

The ends are tied together over the edge, otherwise, no knots.

Speechless

So much thought, all bad.

The other "anchor".

Dragging the climbing rope on the rock.

It is a perfectly good rope.

Really old cargo strap, rope dragging over edges.

He moved the anchor,to another climb, high up a tree.

Worst anchor ever?

Yes, the tree is slung, one carabiner goes to a rope, which goes in 2 directions, including something jammed in a crack at right.

Lots of 9 mil and single carabiners, gate down.

They missed the dead tree sooo much.

Clearly, everything they owned.

Smallest tree ever used.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Teach your children well, or something like it.

The school came up a little short on their anchors, so they added runners. A real knot would be a better idea. Ikea shopping bags are popular among gym climbers who don't own a real pack.

At least the runner is at the bottom of the tree.

Beautiful day but WTF?

Aerial anchors, side loaded carabiners.

Piles of rope but added webbing and a carabiner.

Same thing again...

and again,

and again,

Again?

Why yes, yes it is.
