So what is wrong with the knot pictured? I cannot verify from this angle whether the knot is a correct bowline, but it does look like a bowline with stopper knot, albeit a poorly dressed one.
That knot will never come untied under load. There is a whole bowline-is-death school out there; it is bunk. It can slip while not loaded, so check it before you weight it.
