When you come up short, use your rope bag as a condom.

Don't use webbing like rope, it will cut in a heartbeat.

Seemed like a good idea but nylon on nylon will melt your rope bag in no time.

    Hi John,

    I was out practicing anchors yesterday (I did not set the one pictured) and you a Craig gave me some great tips.

    You mentioned that you wanted to take a picture for the blog of the anchor I was practicing, but I had already taken it down. I didn’t realize it was a “dumb anchors” blog haha. Do you by any chance remember what was wrong with the anchor? I would love to learn so I can avoid the mistake in the future.

    I don't remember anything specific, just get yourself some webbing to slide over the static rope.
