Adventure Links strikes again.
They had 3 rigs, static rope, steel locking carabiners, which is a good thing since these are totally side loaded. 66% isn't safe enough when it is kids and you are making a ton of money using a national park.
One approach I can think of to improve this setup would be a BFK/BHK (Big Honking Knot), assuming the static line is a single strand where it dips out of view. What would you recommend if the two pieces of static line were separate strands?
