Maybe organize the effort. Today everyone wants to throw money and let the other guy do the work. These companies make thousands and aren’t part of the community.
Fair enough. How bad is it to clean up this stuff? Have you seen a big increase in vandalism in recent years and does PATC normally clean it up? I'm new to the area so just wondering what the history of vandalism at Carderock is
Just checked it out today. Its a mess and will presumably need solvent + wire brush to remove. I've never cleaned graffiti from rock before, but I'm guessing it won't be good news for the affected routes on Jan's face which already have delicate starts where every bit of friction helps. Maybe someone in PATC has experience with this?
Good f'n god what has Carderock come to. Please tell me that is just water soluble craft paint.
ReplyDeleteDoubtful, it still had a chemical smell and it appeared sprayed on.
DeleteAre you hoping for REI/Earth treks to fund removal? Shame to see the vandalism
